Musafir Adlina - Syawal

5 Engineers + 1 Banker + 1 Doctor (not in photo) + 1 Still Undecided = Zainol's Family

Summary of Syawal 1429 Hijrah

  • Makcik is the only missing person this year. But she celebrated Hari Raya one day earlier than us...
  • Final Terawih and Hari Raya prayers were led by Fakhrul Radhi, champion of Akademi Al-Quran 3.
  • Alhamdulillah...It was sunny day on 1st day of Hari Raya...but the heat was unbearable.
  • Spent 1st day at Alor Janggus (Kampung Wan). Adlina met her great grandma, almost all toks, uncles and aunties (Wan's side)
  • Adlina was sick..(almost every Raya)...we took her to Kedah Medical Centre. Lots of people in the hospital as all private clinics are still closed.
  • Spent 2nd day at Kangar. Managed to see Mak Su Ti few hours before she delivered her 2nd child.
  • And most importantly, Pak Su and Adlina are competing with each other on who'll get the most duit raya this year. Huh !

Musafir Adlina - Pre Syawal

This year, we spent 1st and 2nd day of Idulfitri at Alor Setar. We left KL on Saturday and spent two nights in Ipoh before we leave for Alor Setar.

It is fun to see these two cousins can get along and play the same toys unlike before. We guess they already understand the meaning of sharing. Adlina is also growing smarter and cheekier, everyday her vocabulary is richer but at the same time she is also becoming more attention-seeker. We are not sure whether this is a sign of protest or it is something normal in every child development.

Our Annual Event...

One of the uniqueness of being in Zainol's family - Every Ramadhan, they will have a MUST-ATTEND berbuka puasa at KLIA. After spending many moons in Malaysia, it's time to bid farewell to Makcik Niyah who is leaving us to London just 2 weeks before we celebrate Hari Lebaran. I wonder whether she ever touched her textbook during the study break or not.
