Sushi King after Visiting King Hill Town

We decided to have something different for lunch that day. So we went to Sushi King at Subang Parade and had plates of Sushi and Udon Tempura. The food was yummy... not to mention the Green Tea (and Yakult...for me).

Note to Mak Ngah : Tok pesan kat Mak Ngah suruh masak Sushi untuk Adlina bila balik nanti.

By the way, my authentic japanese name is 小泉 Koizumi (small spring of water) 弓美 Yumi (beautiful bow, as in bow and arrow).

King Hill Town

Last weekend was a lil bit longer than usual due to Wesak Day on Monday and Ayah has just completed his exam so it's time to celebrate his independence days....(at least for next couple of weeks as the new semester will begin mid of June .... Grrrrr !) So we took the opportunity during the long holiday to visit our new house at Bandar Bukit Raja. Wow...we were very impressed with the development as the important structure of the houses from floor to the roof has completed.... The only outstanding work is the building of road in front of the houses...

Around The Land of Hornbill in 6 Days - Part 2

4th Day
It's Labour Day - Public Holiday and our last day in Bintulu. Tok Ser and family sent us to Bintulu Airport for our next trip to Kuching. There was an emergency case to fly a patient from Bintulu to Kuching, and the patient took 9 seats in the flight (including the seats that we have booked earlier without any replacement). Luckily, one gentlemen offered his seat to us so that Ayah and Umi can seat next to each other. We stayed at Holiday Inn - (we strongly recommend this hotel). The hotel is located near to riverfront, shopping bazaar and other shopping complexes. All are within walking distance.Waktu petang, kami jalan-jalan di Kuching Water Front and Shopping Bazaar. Apa lagi...shopping time lah !

5th Day

After having our breakfast, we went to Pasar Tamu Satok untuk beli ikan terubok masin. Then, the kind taxi driver brought us to one of the famous Kedai Kek Lapis Sarawak in Petra Jaya. Bestnya kedai tu ada tunjuk demo cara-cara masak kek lapis. Pesan pengasas kedai tu, kalau nak sedap, guna Butter and Tepung Hong Kong. Huh ! Memang murah sangat2 kek lapis ni kalau dibeli di sini. Kalau di semenanjung, harganya dua kali ganda. Ayah and Umi borong Kek Mami Jarum, Kek Mohabattein and Kek Coklat Lapis.

Waktu Jumaat Ayah solat di Dewan Majlis Agama Islam Sarawak. The hotel provides shuttle service untuk solat Jumaat. After that, we went to The Spring, a new shopping mall in Kuching (near to airport). We had Arab Rice for lunch... kalau Umi jadi Maria Tunku Sabri dalam JJCM, memang kami recommend gerai tu 101%.

Our main purpose pergi The Spring sebab nak beli extra bag nak carry extra luggage hasil dari over shopping. Unfortunately, none of the bags met our criteria. So, we had to go to Parkson-Crowne Plaza to find for the bag. The Plaza is just opposite our hotel. Jauh2 pergi cari bag, akhirnya pergi seberang jalan jer. Ayah and Umi got a brilliant idea of having the bag at cheapest cost. What they did was they looked for perfume that gives bag as free gift. Bijak kan ? Hahahahha...

Malam kami pergi Hertz-Chicken Buffet Restaurant. Makan buffet fast food...I think this restaurant-chain is only available in Sarawak. Kalau kat KL, sure dah bankrap sebab orang KL kuat melantak ??? hahahah

6th Day - Final

We decided not to go anywhere sebab our flight was at 12.45pm, so tak sempat nak ke mana-mana. We left the hotel at 10.30am. Sampai-sampai terus check-in. Di sana, boleh lihat ramai orang semenanjung tengah beratur group-check-in with boxes of ikan terubok masin, kek lapis and beg2 rotan. We reached KL at 2.45pm. Wan, Tok and Pak Su Wan fetched us at the airport.... so that's the end of our story.

Around The Land of Hornbill in 6 Days - Part 1

Last week, we went to Sarawak i.e. Bintulu, Miri and Kuching (to be specific).

1st Day
Tok Amah and Uncle Allan fetched us at Bintulu Airport. We noticed that jalanraya di Bintulu tidak rata sebab banyak kenderaan berat like lorry carrying cargo guna jalan di sana. That's explain why thera are lots of 4WD cars in Bintulu. After having lunch and a quick nap, we went to Pantai Tg Batu...(tempat tengok anak bulan). We had Rojak Buah, Sotong Kangkung and Sate. Yummy... Malam kami makan di rumah sahaja... Tok Amah masak sup ikan, ayam masak merah and salad....nyum nyum...

2nd Day
We officially met Tok Ser during breakfast. Semalam tak sempat jumpa dia sebab he was attending dinner with client. Kami dah lena waktu Tok Ser balik rumah. We had breakfast laksa sarawak dekat Refah Cafe di Bintulu town. Then, Tok Amah brought us jalan-jalan kat Pasar Tamu Bintulu, New World Mall and Kampung Melayu Bintulu. Petang, Tok Amah and Uncle Allan bawa kami ke office Tok Ser di Bintulu Port. Seronok tengok operasi pelabuhan from the view point. We can see how the crane carried the cargo from ship and put them on the ground. Malam, we had dinner dekat cafe 24-hour di hadapan Sungai Bintulu.

3rd Day
We went to Miri to visit Uncle Iwan dekat Kolej Tun Datu Tuanku Haji Bujang. The journey took 2 1/2 hours from Bintulu using the coastal road. Jalanraya agak sunyi...not to mention the road condition was terrible but still tolerable. After that, we went to visit Uncle Iwan. His school is under massive construction, kesian budak2 tu. So, kena elak dari langgar burung-burung tu.
Malam, kami makan kat Kelab Kidurong. We had daging rusa and midin (kinda paku pakis) for the first time. Nyum Nyum...
